The Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Health Monitoring, Dr. Christopher Otene, has paid a stakeholder engagement visit to the Delta State Primary Health Care Development Agency (DSPHCDA), Asaba, as part of efforts to strengthen primary healthcare delivery across the State.

The visit, which took place on Tuesday, 1st September 2026, provided an opportunity for constructive discussions with the Permanent Secretary of the Agency, Dr. Paul Yinkore, on the state of Primary Health Care Centres (PHCs), staff welfare, infrastructure and the overall delivery of quality healthcare at the grassroots.

Dr. Otene reiterated the commitment of the administration of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to ensuring that primary healthcare remains accessible, effective and responsive to the needs of the people.

He noted that the State Government will continue to listen to stakeholders, identify areas requiring improvement and progressively address emerging challenges within the health sector in line with its MORE Agenda.

The engagement further underscores the administration’s commitment to continuous monitoring, stakeholder collaboration and evidence-based interventions aimed at improving healthcare outcomes across Delta State.
