Erah Hails Keyamo’s Minister of the Year Award
Dr. Erah described the award as well-deserved, noting that it reflects the minister’s bold leadership, strategic reforms, and unwavering commitment to repositioning Nigeria’s aviation sector for greater efficiency, safety, and global competitiveness.

Dr. Augustina Erah, Director of Special Duties at the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has congratulated the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on his recognition as Minister of the Year 2025/2026 at the prestigious Silverbird Man of the Year Awards.

In a statement issued on Monday, Dr. Erah described the award as well-deserved, noting that it reflects the minister’s bold leadership, strategic reforms, and unwavering commitment to repositioning Nigeria’s aviation sector for greater efficiency, safety, and global competitiveness.

According to her, the aviation ministry under Keyamo’s stewardship has experienced renewed direction, strengthened regulatory focus, and purposeful engagement with critical stakeholders across the industry.

“Honourable Minister Festus Keyamo has demonstrated uncommon dedication to reforming and modernising the aviation landscape. His proactive approach to policy implementation, infrastructure development, and institutional accountability has restored confidence in the sector and aligned it more closely with international best practices,” she stated.

Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), human rights lawyer, and former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, was appointed Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023. Since assuming office, he has championed reforms aimed at improving safety standards, enhancing airport infrastructure, promoting indigenous airlines, and fostering stronger partnerships with global aviation bodies.

Dr. Erah further commended the minister’s commitment to transparency, regulatory compliance, and investor-friendly policies, noting that these efforts have contributed to renewed optimism among operators, development partners, and the flying public.

She added that the Silverbird recognition not only celebrates Keyamo’s personal dedication to service but also underscores the ministry’s collective resolve to build a safer, more competitive, and economically viable aviation industry for Nigeria.

“The award is a testament to visionary leadership and a clear reform agenda. We remain committed to supporting the Honourable Minister in driving policies that will further strengthen the aviation and aerospace sector as a catalyst for national development,” Dr. Erah affirmed.
