Oborevwori Replaces Two Commissioners
The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu.

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved fresh supervisory appointments following the resignation of two commissioners who stepped down to pursue political ambitions ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Under the new arrangement, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, Princess Pat Ajudua, will now oversee the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl Child Development pending further directives.

Similarly, the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Godknows Angele, has been directed to supervise the Ministry of Youth Development with immediate effect.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu.

According to Aniagwu, the changes became necessary following the resignation of the former Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl Child Development, Ms. Orode Uduaghan, and the former Commissioner for Youth Development, Barr. ThankGod Harry Trakiriowei.

He explained that both former commissioners resigned their appointments to contest seats in the Delta State House of Assembly ahead of the next election cycle.

Governor Oborevwori, the statement said, commended the outgoing commissioners for their dedicated and patriotic service to Delta State, while wishing them success in their future political pursuits.

The temporary supervisory appointments take immediate effect, pending further announcements by the state government.
