Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, will captain Nigeria against the host nation, Morocco, in the semi-final of the AFCON 2025.

Head coach, Eric Chelle, confirmed Osimhen as skipper while unveiling his matchday squad for the crucial encounter, handing the armband to the Galatasaray forward in the absence of regular captain, Wilfred Ndidi, who is unavailable.

Osimhen, Nigeria’s talisman and one of top goal scorers at the tournament, is expected to lead the Super Eagles with both experience and intensity as they face a determined Moroccan side backed by home support.
